Lee Dewyze is singing "A Little Less Conversation." Adam Lambert says it "sounds awesome," but he needs to smile and connect.

Great tone to start, some confidence. Not a great performance in the sense he's just standing there, but sincere and a strong vocal. I don't know . . . none of these contestants this year really seem to understand how to perform.

Randy likes it, calls it "great, amazing." Ellen liked how it sounded current, and the confidence. Kara says you went for it and liked the intensity, but wanted more playfullness, wanted him to be looser. Simon disagrees with her, says he "nailed the song, full stop."

Lee gives Adam all the credit and says talking to him made the difference.
