Megan Alfonso, originally of Coram, in Top 20 of upcoming 'So You Think You Can Dance'
Megan "Megz" Alfonso, originally of Coram, has been named one of the top 20 finalists on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" season 12.
One of the top 10 "Street" finalists -- another 10 are in the "Stage" category -- Alfonso, 29, was raised in the Bronx before moving to Coram, where according to her social media she graduated in 2004 from Longwood High School in Middle Island and then studied art and design at Suffolk Community College for a year. She now lives in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood. Alfonso is listed among the staff choreographers at the Coram studio Michelle Ferraro's Dance USA, where she had trained.
