'My Way' gets butchered on 'American Idol'

Chris is apparently a boy scout so "American Idol" plays that angle up. He seems a bit awkward, but good-natured.

He shows up looking like a fisherman. "Camp Idol" is what Randy Jackson calls it. Oooh, he's singing "My Way."

Unfortunately in a put-upon, deliberately stagy and oddly-accented voice. His mom sings it outside to Ryan, and she's bad, but still better. Even worse, he seems sincere, like he's not putting us on. 

"You scared everybody in the room" is how Steven Tyler puts it. "How did you do this for 10 years?" Lopez asks Randy.
