Phillip Phillips does a hokey version of Billy Joel on 'American Idol'

Phillip Phillips doing Billy Joel's "Movin' Out" for his second song -- his self-chosen favorite song of the season -- on the "American Idol" finale.

It's a gritty, slightly hokey version; almost like he's in a Broadway show, acting out the song. I wasn't crazy about the song the first time he sang it, and likewise, feel like it's not Phillips at his best.

Not sure why he chose it, there wasn't a big audience or judge reaction the first time around or anything.

Steven Tyler thinks Jessica Sanchez won round two, just like she won round one; I agree with him about this round. Randy Jackson thinks it was a tie, Jennifer Lopez thinks Phillips won this round.

And they're off to commerical; I guess that's the extent of the comments from the judges we're getting tonight.
