Phillip Phillips does a hokey version of Billy Joel on 'American Idol'

It's a gritty, slightly hokey version; almost like he's in a Broadway show, acting out the song. I wasn't crazy about the song the first time he sang it, and likewise, feel like it's not Phillips at his best.

Not sure why he chose it, there wasn't a big audience or judge reaction the first time around or anything.

And they're off to commerical; I guess that's the extent of the comments from the judges we're getting tonight.
