Early fan favorite Phillip Phillips next on "American Idol," says he "wants this very badly." On stage he's singing James Brown's "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" -- it's not bad, nothing special this time though.

Reed Grimm for some reason is singing "I Got a Golden Ticket" from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." It's appropriate, I guess, but a bit hokey for me and doesn't really do much to showcase his talent. He's enthusiastic though, gets the crowd to clap.

Travis Orlando, the Bronx native who's now homeless and whose mom walked out on them shortly after he was on the show last season, does Stevie Wonder's "All I Do." Again, nothing special for me.

Phillips and Grimm go through, but Orlando doesn't make it, again. "I have to go back to nothing, nothing at all. It's kind of hard to face it now," he says.

Wow... some other favorites get cut too -- mechanic Jason "Wolf " Hamlin among them, I really liked him.
