President Obama copies Randy, Michelle chastizes Simon on 'American Idol'

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama open "American Idol" tonight, via videotape, to thank the show for all the money it's raised for charity. The president closes with a message to the finalists: "As Randy would say, you're all my dawgs!" 

Michelle adds, "and Simon, be nice!" Ha!

Ryan's hosting from the usual stage, Queen Latifah from location No. 2. Ryan has gone nutso, is all hyped up and full of himself. He really is beginning to think he's master of the universe.

Group sing has all of the 12 finalists reunited, in white, doing "Keeping the Dream Alive." It's like Up WIth People all over again, just dull and meandering.
