Ruben Studdard shows 'American Idol' top 10 how it's done

"American Idol" starts with one of those idiot movie tie-in intros that just shows it's willing to sell anything for the right price. It's funny, at some points it sounds like Simon's criticisms are directed at the film, which is something based on releasing a dragon, or training one, I believe.

Ruben Studdard comes out singing -- Michael Lynche, you taking notes?! Doing "Don't Make 'Em Like You No More." Fair summary of this season. It's been pretty dreary so far.

It's been seven years since Ruben won. As Ryan points out, he's lost a lot of weight and looks great -- became a vegan and he's working out. Ha, they bring out Big Mike, the two of them joke around a little.

And . . .he's going on tour with Clay Aiken!
