Ryan Seacrest to make announcement on 'Today'

NBC has confirmed - that is to say, it has tweeted to the world - that Ryan Seacrest will make a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT (capital letters my own embellishment) on "Today" this Tuesday. 

But what? Those clever rascals at "Today" aren't making an April's Fool joke; they are telling you NOT TO WATCH "GOOD MORNING AMERICA" (capital letters my own embellishment) UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (capital letters, etc.) 

The reason is that Katie Couric is co-hosting "GMA" all week. They're mad at Katie for co-hosting their arch-rival all week, and they're not taking it lying down. Or standing up. Or whatever. 

But  I like what they're doing. They're making us guess. So let's guess. What will Ryan be announcing Tuesday...?

a.) That's he's the new co-host of "Today."

b.) That Katie Couric is returning to "Today" and Matt Lauer is going to "Good Morning America."

c.) That Katie, Matt and Al are going to "GMA" or that maybe just Al is going to "GMA" (because everyone at "Today" is sick of hearing him say, "and now in your neck of the woods...")

d.) That Simon Cowell is returing to "American Idol" and that Ryan Seacrest is going to "The X Factor."

 e.) That Simon and Ry will be replacing Ann and Matt on "Today." Or replace Robin and George on "GMA;" it doesn't really matter which show. They both cover the same stuff anyway.

 f.) That Ryan just signed a massive new deal with ComcastNBCuniversal that will pay him many many millions of dollars; expand his presence at E!; allow him to produce even more shows starring the Kardashians; and, by the way, maybe even announce that he's got a role with "Today," possibly as west coast entertainment host, or  west coast something - while even nothing that  Matt Lauer will continue to be the co-host of "Today" for two more years...But who knows. .
