Skylar Laine can do no wrong on 'American Idol'

Skylar Laine's singing "The Show Must Go On" as the six "American Idol" finalists cover Queen songs.

For once she doesn't sound like she's just doing another country song. I don't think it's a great choice -- song's not that melodic and she seems more Broadway than anything else -- but as always, she puts her all into it.

"That was over-the-top," says Steven Tyer, in a complimentary way. "That was fabulous."

Jennifer Lopez likes how well she told the story, while Randy Jackson says flatly, "that was incredible, dude."

Uh, okay. I guess it's gonna be one of those nights where they say nothing negative -- not even Laine's biggest fans would call that "incredible," she's done so much better.
