Whoopi guest stars in 'Lion King' Thursday

Audiences at "The Lion King" will get a bonus Thursday in the form of a new character with a familiar face, Newsday's Linda Winer reports. Whoopi Goldberg announced yesterday on "The View" that she intends to make a "series of surprise cameos" throughout tonight's performance of the long-running Disney musical. Tapes of her rehearsals and performance will be shown on "The View" next week. The actress was the voice of Shenzi the hyena in the 1994 animated film.
