Happy Bloom Day, everyone. I snapped these photos this morning on my way into the newsroom. Above is my favorite workhorse, the single Knockout rosa, one of 5 in the front yard.

 This 'Limoncello' landscape shrub rose from Conard-Pyle/Star Roses is always a charmer, even in this partly shady spot:

These strongly scented white-blooming hostas perfume this whole section of the backyard with a honeysuckle-like fragrance. It's planted here among some ornamental grasses:

These zucchini flowers are just begging to be stuffed and fried!

 And the pièce de résistance needs no introduction:
