Have you ever wanted to participate in an obstacle course that contains zip lines? Well, now you can at Adventure Park at Long Island. Here you will find a seven-acre aerial forest rope park. The park consists of more than 140 platforms installed in the trees and connected by different arrangements of cable, wood, and rope to form bridges and zip lines.

The bridges are linked together to create separate trails through the trees. Every trail has a zip line on it. Some trails have more than one zip line. There are a total of 10 trails for ages 7 to adult. The trails have different challenge levels that are appropriate for your age and skill level. The trails are color coded as yellow, green, blue, and black. The yellow trails are the easiest and the black trails are the hardest. To complete the trails, you will need balance, agility, focus, and arm strength. There is no correct way to complete a trail. You use your own strategies and pace.

When you arrive at the park, you will get a lesson on how to climb and how to use their equipment. The equipment is a safety system that eliminates the chance of a climber becoming detached from a safety line while in the trees.

If you are up to the challenge, and would like to experience adventure in the trees with your family or friends, visit Adventure Park. You will get a great ride!

It is located at 75 Colonial Springs Rd., Wheatley Heights; longislandadventurepark.org
