‘Adventures in Babysitting’ 2016 movie review

Have you ever had a baby-sitter? Do you think it’s an easy job? In the movie “Adventures in Babysitting,” a cellphone switch leads to a baby-sitting gig gone wrong. Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson star as Jenny and Lola in this G-rated TV remake of the 1987 movie. They are two baby-sitters with opposite personalities who find themselves searching the city for a lost kid. Throw in a clash with some bad guys and the chaos will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Our favorite part of the movie was when Jenny and Lola wind up in a club where they have an epic rap battle. The baby-sitters break out of their shells and really let loose on stage. We also liked the part where Lola pretends to be a guest at a fancy party so that she can steal some money they need to get the baby-sitters and the kids out of a jam. We also liked the adorable white puppy who is left behind at the house and manages to get into some pretty colorful foods.

We recommend this movie to both kids and adults. Some adults may have seen the original “Adventures in Babysitting” and would enjoy comparing the two versions. We give this movie 5 smiles because it is really funny and takes you on one wild adventure after another. The movie is on the Disney Channel tonight at 8.
