You see them everywhere, on students in the school hallway, cafeteria, and elsewhere. Everyone wears them, so it is no surprise that athletic headbands are blossoming into the newest fashion trend. Whether you dress them up with a ponytail or messy bun, or wear them plain, they are extremely versatile and functional.

Most of girls in our school are wearing these accessories, and this number is only growing. Just one example of this trend is that Lululemon grossed more than $25 million in headband sales last year.

The stretchy and comfortable material provides ample support for all fleeing fly-aways and is totally worth it. The best-selling athletic headband is the Lululemon Fringe Fighter, which starts at $8. Other popular styles are the Nike Dri-Fit Tie and the Skinny Under Armour Graphic Mini. Often they display a symbol of the brand to which they belong and can be a basic color, or a vibrant pattern.

Athletic headbands are making their mark on the fashion world regardless of what style they are. If you want to make your mark on this world, consider buying your own!
