We met with singer Cody Simpson backstage at the Best Buy Music Theater in Manhattan before one of his shows.
A lot of different people, I think. I would love to do [one with] Jack Johnson.
I'm not sure. I'm taking it one day at a time [to] sort of figure it out. I'll be like 26. But I hope to still be making music. That would be amazing.
I'm not sure . . . I've had many different ones all over the world. I love performing in Paris, London, Spain and a bunch of cool places.
Australia: It's my hometown.
No, I don't. By the time I actually go on tour, I know them well enough.
I've been writing casually for awhile, and it all came together, and we chose the best ones that we did. I spent about a month of this year, probably like 2 or 3 weeks of this year, I guess, recording them all.
I got a turtle once, which was cool. He's cute. I get a lot of cool . . . homemade scrapbooks and stuff like that.
I try to stay in FaceTime with my friends and stuff like that and just keep in touch with my friends and family back home.
Surf . . . I like to watch movies, I like to write songs.
I like to warm up my voice, stretch my muscles and stuff . . . I've got to make sure I'm mentally prepared. I like to have time alone before a show and just think about it and visualize it and stuff.
A little bit. You sacrifice it for better things.
It was great. He's really a good friend. I had a good time with him. We've been all over Europe together, all over the U.S. I'm joining him in a couple of days on his touring. Yeah, he's a good guy.
Inspiration, I don't know -- girls, experiences I've had with girls. I write about girls and get to express my feelings through music.
It depends. If it's for "Surfers Paradise" . . . There's actually a place where I grew up in Australia called Surfers Paradise. I wanted to incorporate . . . my hometown and stuff.
Elvis Presley.
"Wasting Time," by Jack Johnson.
Just believe in yourself. Don't let anybody tell you not to do it. It's important to always trust your instincts. Don't let anyone get in the way of what you want to accomplish.
I wouldn't want to trade places with anybody. I'm trying to do my best to keep on growing myself.
I bite my nails a lot. My mom hates that I do that. I have terrible nails. I can't help it.
I don't like when girls chew gum loud and obnoxiously. I'm not a fan of that. I chew gum, too, but I'm not really a fan of when they sort of like do it. Especially if you're out on a date.
