Credit: Randee DaddonaReady for birthday cupcakes? A free birthday party is happening from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Children's Museum of the East End, 376 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton -- the museum is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
"Like any birthday party, there's going to be dancing and face painting," says Paul Johnson, museum marketing coordinator. Kids will make stomp rockets, in which they design a rocket from a tube, put on a nozzle, and then jump on a bellows-like device to send it into the air. There'll be free mini-golfing at the museum's nine-hole, outdoor course.
The museum will unveil its new donor-wall, with puzzle pieces noting donors who have pledged at least $25,000, Johnson says.
People attending the party can then stay all day at the museum. "It's a day to celebrate. We're happy to have people stay as long as they want," Johnson says.
