We went to visit a crazy awesome place called Freezology Ice Cream in Patchogue. We tried their ice cream and loved it way more than regular ice cream from the supermarket.

Freezology ice cream used to be a franchise called Sub Zero but now it’s an independent company. We researched and learned they were even featured on the show “Shark Tank”! The person who invented this ice cream was actually a scientist in Utah.

The liquid nitrogen tank had a sign on it that read: "Our subzero tank holds liquid nitrogen at an amazing negative -321 F. Upon contact with your favorite flavors and fresh ingredients a super cool cloud evaporates into thin air. Liquid nitrogen flash freezes millions of tiny ice crystals that our cool chemists hand mix into a uniquely dense, smooth and creamy frozen treat."

Ice cream combined with science was a totally amazing experience. It was fascinating to watch. We would love to go back, and think you should too.
