Do you think tests are hard? Do you know how to prepare for a test? Here are some ways you can be prepared and succeed:

First, pay attention in class, and do all of your homework. If you don't understand the work, tell the teacher and ask about going to extra help. Consider going for more extra help before the test. Second, you have to study for as long as it takes, even if you don't want to. Doing the extra work will help you succeed. Sometimes kids like to study in groups. That is a good idea as long as you are really studying!

If you know a test is coming up, don't start studying the night before. Start a few days ahead of time. If you "cram," there is a good chance you will forget more than you will remember. Get a good night's sleep before the test. Don't forget: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It will give you energy and help you focus.

Always read the test directions first! Lots of times, you may freeze up and forget stuff you thought you knew. Don't worry, come back to it later.
