How often do you check your phone?

Admit it, you can’t help looking at your phone. And you do it a lot, don’t you?

We asked 135 kids in our middle school how many times a day they checked their phone and gave them a range. Here are our results:

1-5 times: 19

6-10 times: 25

11-15 times: 23

16-20 times: 27

21 or more times: 24

No phone: 17

The top range was 16 to 20. We thought it might be higher, but we don’t always have our phones in school. We also thought it would be higher because we are all sixth-graders and we figured that is the first year with the phone, and curiosity or apps or texts might be coming in a lot.
