Long Island Children’s Museum program aids special-needs kids

The Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City is a very fun, yet educational place that kids of all ages love to visit. The museum has an amazing new feature: the Friendly Hours.
The Friendly Hours is a program for kids with special needs and their families after hours, when the museum is almost empty. This gives these kids and their families a chance to explore the museum on their own, when it is a lot less crowded.
I know about the Friendly Hours because my little brother, Seamus, age 7, has special needs, and I have gone with him and my mom, and let me just say, we had an amazing time!
If you have a young family member or friend who has special needs, I would totally recommend visiting.
The next Friendly Hours is July 21.
