Would you rather be a great athlete in school or great at academics? We wanted to know how kids felt about this topic so we surveyed 81 kids in the seventh and eighth grades, and here are our results:

Academics 42

Athletics 39

As you can see, the vote was very close. Most kids were thinking long-term and thinking about their future and how academics will help them every day. They want to go to a good college and then get a good job so that they can live comfortably.

The kids who chose athletics thought that if they were really good at sports, then they could make a lot of money and that would give them a lifetime of benefits.
