Model Railroad Open House at West Island Model Railroad Club (485 S. Broadway, Unit 22A, Hicksville) on Friday, Dec. 6 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. Bring tiny train-lovers to check out a large scale model railroad that is more than 650 feet long. Price: $5 per person, $12 per family
The Polar Express Trolley Ride at All Star (96 Main Rd., Riverhead) on Friday, Dec. 6, Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. Passengers will read along with the holiday children's book "The Polar Express" while enjoying hot cocoa and other treats. Rides last 45 minutes with the last departing at 7 p.m. Price: $36 for adults, $31 for children
Breakfast with Santa at A Taste of Home (1992 N. Jerusalem Rd., North Bellmore) on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Join Santa for a hot breakfast and photos. Price: $16.95 for adults, $11.95 for kids.
