Bebe shows us too much of a sexy thing
There’s something of a frontier feeling to this line, with its desert
palette (camel, sand, ivory, with pops of fiery red and a trickle of
blues) and a flurry of fringe (hanging off bags, the back of cropped
vests or the front of bra tops). Lace cut-outs (on blazers, skirts)
offer a modern twist. And we defy any Bebe shopper to get out of the
store alive next spring without purchasing one of the zillion or so
handkerchief skirts or dresses, in peppy prints. One cautionary
note: Two black lace numbers got way too Frederick’s of Hollywood. A
hint of skin is sexier than an anatomical road map.
