Carmen Marc Valvo’s organza blossoms and gravity-defying gowns

Carmen Marc Valvo had gardenia and black iris on the brain when conceiving this collection of exquisite gowns and cocktail party stunners. Oh, the lucky woman — Vanessa Williams? Kate Winslet? — who will slip into the textured, snipped-ribbon dresses, or those organza cocktail numbers with a wave pattern, looking like an Impressionist painted it on. There’s a great, splashy black-and-white floral on a balloon-back coat.
A must-grab Cosmohouse Tote, punched with holes, like something Clyde gave Bonnie just after a shootout. Most delicate: an ivory linen jacket with lacy cut-outs, atop a long organza ball gown that floated behind the model as she walked, as if in slow motion — a gravity-defying dream.
