In glossy white with mahogany wood and the signature green and red Gucci stripe, the made-to-order Aquariva by Gucci, a 33-foot luxury yacht, came to the Sag Harbor Cove Yacht Club Saturday and Sunday to give prospective buyers and loyal Gucci customers a test run.
This was the first time the yacht, which debuted in September 2010 at the International Cannes Boat Show, took sea trials in the United States.
Gucci and Riva, two of Italy's leaders in luxury, teamed up with Officina Italiana Design to create the sleek vessel in celebration of Gucci's 90th anniversary.
It can glide through the water at up to 41 knots and is finished with customized details by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini, down to the Gucci emblems covering the white seat upholstery.
Don't have $750,000-plus to throw down on a designer boat right now? Riva by Gucci's nautical-themed accessories including boat shoes, limited-edition white leather handbags, aviator sunglasses, scarves, beach towels and more range from $280 to $3,000 at select Gucci stores.
