Thank you to everyone who entered to win a Halloween costume shopping spee.  We received some terrific entries and I hope you all have a great time celebrating.
Our winner is Miriam Strassberg from East Meadow, a speech-language pathologist at Kidz Therapy in Garden City.
Strassberg said in her contest submission: "Oh this would be a lifesaver! I am a speech pathologist working with children ages 3 to 5.  I've been putting this off all month, but need to get moving. The children always come into the office dressed for Halloween and so do the therapists. I have been a tree (homemade costume), a clown, Groucho Marx and a Daddy (suit, tie, the works).
"I'm out of ideas. Help!!  I can't dress scary, and am lost this year. I don't want to do the same things again and repeat costumes.  Everyone is always so imaginative and the children love it. Thanks for the opportunity to win."
Miriam and I will go shopping Sunday, Oct. 23, at Long Island Costume in Hauppauge, and our Newsday camera crew will be there to capture the experience. Stay tuned for a fun video. Happy Halloween!
