LI Mom reinvents cheap chic

 Gail Siegel, a Long Island mother of two, has started a new website, www.gailsmail.com, which calls upon her experience as a Manhattan-based fashion and beauty editor. The site focuses on one quick hit per day, says Siegel. "I tell what the trend is," she says. "Then I tell why it's great, and how much it costs."

Cost is one of the major factors, with 99 percent of everything that appears on the site priced under $100. "Everybody still wants to look good," says Siegel. "What I do," she says, "is edit the market for you. It's never been more fashionable to dress for less."
