Preppy meets sexy at Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger packed the house with stars — Jennifer Lopez, Bradley Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, “Mad Men’s” Christina Hendricks, “Sex and the City’s” Jason Lewis — for his show, celebrating 25 years in the biz and what he called “the first collection of the next 25.” 

It was preppy glamour on parade, ratcheted up with just enough sex appeal to keep things interesting — tennis whites, windowpane trousers and trenches were mixed with bright red bandeau tops, sexy eyelet miniskirts and a cropped navy blazer that sparkled. For Gatsby drama, look no further than the yellow pleated lawn gown, with racy slits up the side — light and floating like a parachute.
