Long Island Craft Beer Week keeps rolling along. Tonight, the Tap Room in Patchogue celebrates its one-year anniversary with an expansive event. Usually the pub runs five lines of Blue Point, but tonight Blue Point brews will issue from 16 — almost every one that the Tap Room has.
Two of Blue Point Brewing Company's beers were winners at Tuesday night’s Golden Tap Awards, and both of them, Toasted Lager (Best Long Island Beer 2011) and White IPA (Best New Beer 2011) will be on tap.
But that’s just for starters. Curt Potter, the brewery’s director of branding and communications, said that “just about everything we have” will be on tap, including Spring Fling, Summer Ale, Winter Ale, Blueberry Ale, Pale Ale, RastfaRye Ale, No Apologies double IPA, Toxic Sludge black IPA, White IPA, Old Howling Bastard barley wine, Oatmeal Stout, ESB and Altbier, as well as special casks of Sour Cherry Imperial Stout and Hoptical Illusion. Pints range from $6 to $7.
The party, with live music from Jesse Pagano, give-aways and drinks specials starts at 6 p.m. and goes until closing time at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning. The Tap Room is at 114 W. Main St., Patchogue, 631-569-5577.
