Maxwell’s in Islip is inviting you to pig out this Sunday — literally —  at its recently launched monthly “Blues & BBQ” event.

This month's fare is a collaboration between two chefs: Marc Bynum, proprietor of the Farmingdale-based Hush Truck, and Francis Derby, formerly of Prime in Huntington.

The menu, focused on locally raised meat from the Kunekune pig breed originally from New Zealand, includes smoked-pork nuggets with spicy mayo and pineapple-jalapeno jam; crispy pork belly salad with pickled daikon, cilantro and chicharron; tacos al pastor with pineapple and salsa verde; Bynum’s signature tonkotsu ramen with smoked ham; and banana pudding. At $18, porchetta with sweet potatoes and collards is the most expensive item on the menu.

Weather permitting, the restaurant's patio will be open and the Hush Truck will be parked right outside for ordering and pick up. “Greatest hits” from Maxwell’s regular menu will also be on offer, including wings, burgers and salads.

Live music will be provided by Jack Licitra and the Graveyard Blues All-Stars, and brews will be on tap from Montauk Brewing Company, among others.

The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m.

Maxwell’s is at 501 Main St., Islip, 631-210-0011, maxwellsny.com
