Catching up with the "Kitchens" of St. James
Lots of goings on at Eric Lomando’s St. James restaurants Kitchen A Bistro and Kitchen A Trattoria.
On Sunday Oct. 24, the Bistro will be hosting a beer dinner with Union Beer Distributors. The brews poured will include Saison Dupont, Old Rasputin and Smuttynose Pumpkin. The five-course menu is still a work in progress but Lomando promises ribollita (“reboiled” Tuscan vegetable soup), duck breast with pickled turnips and chestnut spaetzle and cocoa-rubbed venison. Dinner starts at 2:30. The price is $68 plus tip and tax.
On Wednesday Nov. 10, the Bistro will host a wine dinner with St. Innocent Winery in Salem, Oregon, and Lomando plans to highlight some of the Pacific Northwest’s signal ingredients to go with the wine. The price is $70 plus tip and tax. The menu:
