In the world of cake versus yeast doughnuts, you may not know you’re in a camp, but if you’ve eaten a doughnut you’ve taken a side. Cake fans like doughnuts that are more filling and dunkable, while those who like brioche-style prefer doughnuts with a buttery lightness.

Karen Klein is a fan of the latter, such as the ones she’s making at Donut Bliss in Amityville, a Saturday pop-up at Kitchen Co-Op from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A fan of Doughnut Plant and Dough Doughnuts in Manhattan and Brooklyn, Klein woke up one night and decided to pursue a passion.

For now, she’s making about 10 different types, such as vanilla glazed, maple bacon, peanut butter and jelly or toasted almond honey. Each one is $3, a dozen for $32.

If things go as planned, she’ll soon expand hours to Fridays at the Amityville Farmers Market from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sundays at the Kitchen Co-Op.

Kitchen Co-Op, 213 Broadway, Amityville; 631-397-0197
