‘American Summer Riviera Weekend’ at Navy Beach

Unlike the single-day 2012 affair, this year's version runs from noon until sunset on both Saturday and Sunday (July 13-14). Inspired by the French Riviera – the shoreline stretch that includes such fashionable locales as Saint-Tropez, Nice and Cannes – the soiree returns to offer another opportunity to dine and chill out in European style. Guests are more than welcome to don swimwear – and if you do so, the most properly-themed attire would be something reminiscent of the 1950s (as that was when the film “And God Created Woman” helped turn Saint-Tropez into the trendy destination it is today).

Although it is perfectly fine (and free) to just show up and hang out, all are invited to make lunch or dinner reservations, as a special seafood-strong menu will be served. Signature cocktails will also be offered, and daybeds set by the adjacent Fort Pond Bay can be reserved from either noon-4 p.m. or 4 p.m.-8 p.m. (starting at $300). The yacht company Ferretti Group will be in attendance, showcasing one of their luxury ships, and DJ Nicole Zanatta will be spinning throughout on both days (while on Sunday only, reggae artist Winston Irie will perform at 5 p.m.).
