As summer wanes, 'Wall Street' gets ready to roll
Ever since the now-dissolved Silk Ultralounge in Hauppauge shut its doors to begin the summer of 2012, only to soon emerge during the coming autumn as the second incarnation of “Wall Street” (this venue called itself that previously, before 2004), the nightlife scene has been buzzing on what to expect. The club’s Facebook page has generously provided mid-construction photos and updates, and now it seems the opening is soon upon us, with the announcement of a “Friends and Family” preview party set for Saturday, Aug. 25.
All the upgrades and additions made will be on display starting at 8 p.m.: the sound system, the lighting, the decor — and guests who attend will also score hors d’oeuvres and some complimentary specialty drinks. In addition, there will be an as-of-yet unannounced “celebrity DJ,” and the dance floor will be open.
A call over to Wall Street (573 Nesconset Hwy., 631-656-6550) today was met with a message to text all questions to 631-682-9103, so anyone seeking to possibly attend should start there. However, if this bash is not feasible, the spot’s FB page also announced these coming Grand Opening affairs:
Thursday, Sept. 13: “Ladies Night” (men must be 23-and-over, women 21+)
Friday, Sept 14: “Corporate Happy Hour” (men 23+, women 21+), followed by a later “Sophisticated Singles” party (all must be 28 years-of-age and up)
Saturday, Sept. 15: “Dance Party” (men must be 25-and-over, women 23+)
