'Drink and Draw'

Call it consistency: The Cortland in Bay Shore has yet another unique event lined up – incredibly only a few days after the last.
It was only back on Feb. 8 that this pub (which might just be the coolest on LI) turned itself into a Prohibition-era speak-easy, yet on Sunday, Feb. 12 the bar will transform again – this time into an art studio.
The Cortland is already known for its paint-powered inclinations, as it holds its “Art on Tap” exhibits on the last Sunday of every month, where local artists get a chance to show and sell their work (and keep all the profits for themselves). However, only a couple of days before Valentine’s Day, this couple-friendly happening puts patrons and their possible partners in the “easel” seat, so to speak.
All who participate will get a blank canvas and supplies, with the goal being giving guests a chance to create while enjoying the house’s penchant for serving locally-produced beer (with those who join in scoring two pints of suds from the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company). And no worries if you don’t consider yourself a Picasso, as a local artist will be stepping in to provide guidance along the way.
The event package is $25 at the door, with a start time of 6 p.m.
