'Housewives of New Jersey' Melissa Gorga in Smithtown

If you enjoy watching reality star Melissa Gorga engage in all the juicy drama found on “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” one need not travel the Garden State Parkway in search of the aspiring singer (and sister-in-law to “Wives” castmate Teresa Giudice), but instead head east of the Sagtikos instead.

Gorga appears to be on a bit of a mini-tour, as she has announced online an appearance at The Wine Guy (220 W. Main St. Smithtown, 631-780-6200) on Friday, June 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. As part of a promotion for low-calorie Voli brand vodkas, Gorga will attend this hour of free Voli tastings.

However, it seems Gorga will be spending a bit more time on the Island to follow, as Insignia Prime Steak and Sushi (610 Nesconset Hwy., Smithtown, 631-656-8100, insigniasteakhouse.com) has announced on its Facebook page that the famous Jersey spouse will also be appearing there – and has listed the visit time from 6 to 8 p.m. on the same night. Despite the overlap of times (and lack of mention of what Gorga may be doing at Insignia), the upscale and frequently busy steakhouse does a Friday party from 4 to 8 p.m. weekly – so watch for DJ music, a live band, special bar menu and space on the outdoor patio as other enticements to pay a visit.
