The annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk will take place on October 9, 2010, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Got a dog? Love the beach? Then get that puppy in the car and head to the 17th annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk on Saturday, Oct. 9, in East Hampton.

The  two-mile walk to the ocean for people and pets  runs from 9 a.m. to noon and will benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. This year, fashion designer Isaac Misrahi will make an appearance as the master of ceremonies.

All registrants will get a T-shirt, Starbucks coffee, doughnuts and free microchipping while you wait. There also will be an agility course for the pooches, face-painting for the kids, live music, a silent auction and a bunch of contests to enter (think dog-owner look alikes, etc.)

Naturally, as for all events of this nature, you'll be asked to collect pledges for your stroll, and the top fundraisers will be rewarded handsomely: First prize is 2 round-trip tickets to London on British Airways; second prize is a year's supply of dog food from Freshpet; and third place winner gets an original oil portrait of a pet by artist Ellen Doremus.

They're also giving away a bicycle for the top child fundraiser (kids under 16 must walk with a registered adult), and everyone who brings in at least $250 in pledges gets a Coach owl key fob.
