Mario Lopez at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh

Perhaps you remember him as A.C. Slater, the buff jock who put the muscle into the classic teen program "Saved by the Bell." Then again, maybe it was his second-place finish during the third season of "Dancing With the Stars," or possibly it's his hosting duties on the syndicated entertainment news show "Extra."  Wherever  you know him from, you probably agree that Mario Lopez is a pretty big celebrity to find at a Long Island sports bar-nightclub.

Nonetheless, he'll be making a special appearance at Mulcahy's in Wantagh on Saturday, April 9.

It's hard to say  what exactly the man will do once on stage, but according to some of the ladies around the office, it doesn't really matter -- they say that as long as he is in sight, it should be a great night.

It's all part of the weekly South Bar Saturdays party, which also includes pop, dance, '80s rock and hip-hop music from DJs Endless, Larosa and Mikey C. Everything should get started  between 8 and 9 p.m. for a 21-and-over crowd. The cover charge is $5.
