Chains across Long Island are serving up free doughnuts in honor of National Doughnut Day on Friday. Here’s where to get a sweet treat to begin your weekend:
Duck Donuts — The North Carolina-founded company is offering a free classic doughnut in-store at participating locations with no purchase necessary. More info: duckdonuts.com.
Dunkin' — The national doughnut and coffee company is offering a free donut with any beverage purchase. The chain is also collaborating with lifestyle brand Stoney Clover Lane to bring accessories available for purchase at participating locations. More info: news.dunkindonuts.com
Walmart — The retailer’s bakery section is giving away one free glazed donut at all locations. More info: walmart.com/shop/national-donut-day
Tim Hortons — Tim Hortons rewards members can receive a free specialty or classic doughnut with purchase of a beverage. More info: timhortons.com
Friday also happens to be National Flip Flop Day, when Tropical Smoothie Cafes give a free 12-ounce Mango Monsoon smoothie to anyone wearing flip-flops coming into a participating store between 2 and 7 p.m.
