In honor of the Bavarian festival’s 200th anniversary (the first one was thrown in October 1810 in Munich to commemorate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen), many Long Island restaurants are offering up special German dishes and beers.
