Twenty-five years of nightclubs (and still going)

If you go out to Long Island clubs with any regularity -- or used to -- chances are you’ve crossed paths with Andre "Echo" Diaz.
This nightlife figure has hosted a party at just about every major club in Nassau and Suffolk -- from the still-happening Neptune’s in Hampton Bays to legendary defunct (but still fondly remembered) places like Chevy’s in West Islip, Malibu in Lido Beach and SPIT in Levittown. His resume is tremendous, and it turns out he’s been successfully MC'ing and entertaining on the scene for 25 years.
That means you could have actually met your spouse on a night when Echo was working, then started a family, and by now your children could be old enough to go to a club …where Echo is working!
To celebrate his ongoing career, he’ll be throwing a party on Thursday, Feb. 3 at the Sugar Dining Den & Social Club in Carle Place at 9 p.m., and everybody’s invited. There’s no cover, but be sure to dress to impress.
