Will meteor holiday lights be this year's craze?

Driving down Route 25 in Westbury the other night and saw that Hick's Nurseries in Westbury has its trees lit with the new LED Meteor Christmas lights, which look like dripping icicles in tree branches. To me, they looked more like vertical flashes of white lights. I like them--I think...unless I just like them because they're new?
