There's a new takeout spot coming behind the Italian restaurant Cara Mia in Seaford: Forks, a hidden pasta to-go shop that will serve portions in Chinese takeout containers.

As of Oct. 26, the new shop will operate in the 120-square-foot kitchen that was last home to Guac Shop, which moved to a permanent space in Wantagh.

Owner Sergio DeCiantis said Forks will have a tight menu: rigatoni, spaghetti or cavatappi tossed in a choice of tomato basil, vodka or basil pesto sauces ($11-$13). Mini meatballs or burrata can be added for an extra $3.

The Chinese takeout containers hold a pint and a half of pasta, the same amount that DeCiantis serves in a bowl in his main dining room.

Dishes from Forks will be available for pickup only via a walk-up window adjacent to ice cream and cereal bar Spoons (both accessible from the parking lot behind the restaurant).

Forks, 3935 Merrick Rd., Seaford (behind Cara Mia); opening hours are 4-9 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays, forkspasta.com
