Who doesn't like pizza and who doesn't like cupcakes? Why shouldn't they be put together? And while the pizza cupcake is actually a bit like a calzone, the rebranding of it as a cupcake is beyond clever.
This mash-up item is available at Bowlmor Long Island. Now you have a reason to go bowling!
Two pizza cupcakes cost $6.51 and are available in two flavors: spinach and ricotta and triple meat (sausage, pepperoni, meatball).
Ed Porter, executive chef at Bowlmor, created the pizza cupcake in an attempt "to make an elevated pizza roll."
"I try to keep our menu loaded with nostalgic, non pretentious, but delicious selections to tug on the heartstrings of past memories," he said.
Heartstrings!
