UPDATE: This event is now sold out. There will not be additional tickets available for Saturday’s breakfast crawl. “We have been overwhelmed,” said David Kennedy, executive director of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce. “We did not think something like this would be so overwhelmingly popular.” Kennedy said the non-profit will host a follow-up “in the near future.” Keep an eye on Feed Me for updates.
Breakfast can be a utilitarian meal, with the exception of weekends, when a work-free Saturday affords time for eating waffles or pancakes, an extra egg, coffee refills and maybe even drinking a beer.
Things get really decadent for the morning meal in Patchogue this Saturday, April 9, for first annual breakfast crawl. From 9 a.m. to noon, the ticketed masses can grab a bite or a sip at Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company, Goldberg's Bagels and The Cheese Patch, as well as Toast Coffeehouse, Brickhouse Brewery, Bobbique, That Meetball Place, Fulton’s Gate and The Village Idiot.
Participants have two options: $20 buys visits to four stops, and $30 buys a stop at all nine. If you’re worried about finishing nine plates of eggs Benedict, do not fear: Featured restaurants will offer small plates and samples.
Online tickets are sold out, but a limited number of tickets will be sold the day of at Roast Coffee & Tea.
The event has been organized by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce to benefit Artspace National Exhibit on Terry Street.
