Perfecto Mundo, the three-star Latin-fusion restaurant in Commack, is to close  Nov. 10.

It will stay open for Long Island Restaurant Week, which starts Nov. 2.

In an email to customers last night, owner Liz Keschl said: "It is with great sadness, and much inner conflict, that I announce today  that we will be closing our doors on Monday, November 10th."

Keschl added, "The cost of running a small business has skyrocketed to the point that I have no option but to close." Perfecto Mundo is in a leased space at the Northgate Shopping Center.

"I find myself in a financial situation that I simply cannot change," she said.

Perfecto Mundo earned three stars in Newsday in 2010 and has kept the "excellent" rating under chef Alex Cantu.

Long Island Restaurant Week goes from Nov. 2 to Nov. 9. Participating restaurants will offer $27.95 fixed-price, three-course dinners each day; on Saturday, Nov. 8, the promotional special will be available to 7 p.m. More than 185 restaurants are taking part in the promotion.
