
Top Long Island restaurants team up for Island Harvest benefit at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury

More than 40 local restaurants, bakeries and caterers will gather at Woodbury’s Crest Hollow Country Club on Oct. 17 to benefit Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization.
Among the establishments offering guests tastes and sips at Taste of the Harvest will be All-American Wontons, Chris & Tony’s, Cipollini, Fado Portuguese, Gemelli market, Kerber’s Farm, Limani, Nisen Sushi, North Fork Table & Inn, Rustic Root, Sandbar, Sawasdee Thai Elevated, Shake Shack and Zorn’s of Bethpage. There will also be a private auction.
This year, Taste of the Harvest will recognize two honorees: Louis Biscotti, CPA, a partner at Mazars and the leader of the international accounting firm’s global food and beverage practice, and New York Community Bank, a presenting sponsor of Island Harvest’s Food Bank Operation HOPE, a program that supports veterans, active military personnel and their families.
The master of ceremonies will be Newsday’s Pervaiz Shallwani, reporter, critic and host of the newly launched Feed Me TV.
