Well, this summer is moving right along, with only two weekends left before Labor Day. Here are three waterside restaurants for one more taste of the season.

The Beacon in Sag Harbor is ideal at sunset, perched on the waterfront. The cuisine is mainly New American. Recommended: tuna tartare; salmon rillettes; pork-belly pretzel buns; roasted chicken; halibut baked in parchment; pork chop Milanese; lemon curd parfait; almond cake; and at brunch, avocado toast with poached eggs; watermelon salad with feta, arugula, shaved fennel; crisp fish tacos; shakshuka, or eggs poached in spicy tomato sauce with onions and peppers; lobster roll. Moderate to expensive.

View in Oakdale has a grand view of Great South Bay. It's a sunny spot for American and New American dishes, especially seafood. Recommended: shellfish cocktails; yellowfin tuna tartare; fried Thai-seasoned calamari; pan-seared diver scallops, cedar-roasted Scottish salmon; Beijing duck tacos; root beer-braised short rib of beef; and at brunch, sushi rolls, omelets steamed crab legs, two roasts. Moderate to expensive.

Louie's Grill & Liquors is the latest incarnation of a restaurant that dates to 1905. Seafood is the specialty and Manhasset Bay is just beyond. Recommended: East and West Coast oysters; shrimp cocktail; New England-style clam chowder; seafood salad; lobster tacos; steamed lobster; lobster roll; grilled tuna; crisp chicken sandwich; chicken Parmigiana with linguine. Moderate to expensive.
