Wahlburgers opens at Roosevelt Field

Donnie’s choice is the BBQ Bacon burger with Cheddar cheese and jalapeño peppers; Paul’s favorite is the Our Burger, an American classic with all the fixings; Marky Mark’s top choice is the Impossible burger, a plant-based patty with smoked Cheddar and caramelized onions. The Wahlberg brothers have returned to New York, folks, with a new Wahlburgers shop now open at Roosevelt Field.
At this Wahlburgers, you can take a break from shopping and grab one of the bright green counter seats and watch the friendly staff prep burgers and shakes. The menu consists of four burgers, which start at $9.99. The “Our Burger” can be double- or triple-stacked for maximum bite. (Pro tip: the burgers are hefty, so unless you’re famished, there’s no need to stack too high.) All are topped with American cheese, except for the bacon burger, which comes with white Cheddar. Chicken sandwiches range from crispy to seared to chipotle spiced, there are also fried chicken fingers ($6.95 for three) and fried pickles ($6.95), as well as loaded or plain fries and tots. Shakes and Arnold Palmers round out the drinks.
The chain was launched in 2011 by the Hollywood-famous Wahlberg brothers including Mark (the actor) and Donnie (the New Kids on the Block singer) with their brother Paul as the chef. It's grown to include restaurants in more than 20 states. The Garden City location comes three years after Wahlburgers closed its Port Jefferson Station outpost, where Mark arrived by helicopter to visit in 2017.
The concept was spun off the 2014 A&E show of the same name, which followed the famous family’s trials and tribulations of owning a burger joint.
