Bill Hudson, the owner of Ferraro’s Wine and Liquors in Babylon, has bought himself a restaurant in Rockville Centre. It’s called Hudson’s on the Corner and it’s in what had been The Corner Grill for about a year, and before that, Prime Catch.

Hudson quietly took over the space at the end of last year, making changes to the interior before relaunching with a new name, a face-lift, staff changes and an updated menu.

“After spending over 25 years on the retail side of the wine and spirits industry,” Hudson writes on his website, “I felt the need for a new challenge. My love of wine evolved through those 25 years and a wine bar seemed the perfect segue.”

The menu features a New World-centric list of wines by the glass, from pinot grigio to pinot noir, and a handful of craft beers on tap.

Dishes start with small plates or the raw bar, move into a seafood section with swordfish, salmon and branzino, as well as meatier dishes from hanger steak to rib eye. Prices range from $7.95 to $17.95 for first courses and raw bar selections, and $19.95 to $29.95 for entrees.

Hudson’s on the Corner is at 41 S. Park Ave., Rockville, Centre, 516-442-1299, hudsonsonthecorner.com
